Series 98: the valve for chemicals and bunker tankers

ERIKS introduces the double eccentric Econ® series 98 butterfly valve. This nodular cast iron butterfly valve is ideally suited for use on chemicals and  bunker tankers.

Double eccentric butterfly valves owe their name to the position of the valve blade with respect to the spindle/stem. In the figure above this is shown by the green line. The centre point of the valve blade is located in front of and next to the centre point of the spindle. This is also called a double offset. Both the term ‘double offset’ and ‘double eccentric’ are therefore used for this valve.
